But Daniel determined that he would not defile himself by eating the king's food or drinking his wine, so he asked the head of the palace staff to exempt him from the royal diet. (MSB)

MEDITATION
Discipline is not a gift but a decision. It's not received but resolved. 
It's not a dream but an determination.
Don't wish for it; cultivate it.

 PRAYERS 
Father give me grace to keep my emotions and appetite in Jesus name, amen.
